A Heavy-Duty Transformation
​Our team was tasked with the full debranding and strip-out of a unique, axe-throwing-themed restaurant and events venue in the heart of Bristol. This wasn’t a standard retail strip-out; the project required the decommissioning of a commercial kitchen and bar, alongside the deconstruction of “substantial” timber axe-throwing alleys.
​Key complexities included:
​The “300mm” Factor: The timber backing behind the targets was up to 300mm thick in places, requiring specialized cutting equipment and heavy-lifting protocols.
​Logistical Bottlenecks: The property is situated on a primary Bristol thoroughfare. Compounded by nearby city-center road closures, access for waste removal and logistics was extremely restricted.
​Rapid Mobilization: We were required to mobilize the entire project within a two-week window.

Our Approach

Leadership & Logistics
​To ensure the project met its tight deadlines despite the logistical hurdles, our owner, Steven Green, took a hands-on approach. Steven led the CDM (Construction Design and Management) side of the project, coordinating the job directly on-site.
​By working alongside our engineers and service partners, Steven was able to troubleshoot real-time challenges—such as the restricted access and heavy material handling—ensuring that safety and efficiency remained paramount.

​Sustainable Impact: Giving Back to Bristol.
​At the core of this project was a commitment to the Bristol community. Rather than sending all materials to landfill, we successfully salvaged and repurposed various elements of the fit-out. These were donated to:
​Local Schools: Providing materials for educational projects.
​Fledgling Start-ups: Supporting new businesses with infrastructure and furniture.

The Result

Despite the structural and geographical challenges, the project was a resounding success:
