Enhancing workplace safety and compliance at Greenway

As a facilities management provider, we have a responsibility to our employees and customers to conduct work safely, complying with up-to-date regulations. We’ve created a 3-step plan that our employees complete, to ensure every job can be completed safely to a high standard in a proactive environment.

  1. Dynamic risk assessments

Before we even start a job, our team carry out a risk assessment. This helps us to spot any potential issues that could affect the environment, individuals, or assets. By identifying these risks early, we can tailor a strategy to manage them effectively, keeping everything running smoothly.

  • Ongoing training

We know the world of facilities management never stands still, so neither do we! Our staff regularly participate in training sessions to keep their skills sharp. This includes annual asbestos training and a refresher course to make sure we’re always doing our best. Plus, we have a weekly toolbox talk where the team gets together to ensure all our equipment is top shape for the job.

  • Staying safe

Safety is our number one priority. Our engineers are empowered to raise any health and safety concerns they may have. We know having enough time to complete tasks safely is extremely important. We don’t want our team to feel pressured to comprise on time needed to deliver a safe solution. We trust our engineers’ judgement when completing tasks and coming up with safe solutions.

  • Keeping up-to-date with industry changes

We keep a close eye on legislation changes (which happen twice a year) and any other updates in industry guidelines. By staying on top of these changes, we can follow the best practises and maintain our high standards.
